About
I’m Tammi Harris, and I am a WAHM (work-at-home-mom) of four great kids ages 7-15, and I’ve been married to my college sweetheart for 21 years. My husband currently has a pretty good job, but in this economy, who knows what will happen from one day to the next? And with four kids to put through college, starting in just a couple of years, I’m always on the lookout for ways to make a little extra money.
I’ve always been what you would call a “hard worker.” I held part-time jobs in high school, worked my way through college, and spent 10 years in a Fortune 100 environment climbing the corporate ladder. Shortly after our first child was born, I started my own computer consulting business, and enjoyed quite a bit of success with that for a number of years.
However, a few years ago I discovered that, unlike most of us have been lead to believe, as our children get older they seem to need us more, not less. They need to be driven to a steady stream of after-school activities, group projects, music lessons, and part-time jobs. Then, there’s the whole issue of feeding them… regularly, nutritiously, and never all at once! I’ll bet we’re all available to sit down at the dinner table together no more than once or twice a month. That makes it all the more important that I can be available when they need help, need to talk, or just want to hang out.
So, in order to still make an income while keeping the flexibility I need, I’ve learned a variety of ways to pull off money-making ventures in my spare time. It’s my fondest hope that you will be able to put some of my experiences to work for you as well.
